The Need to Remediate
Porous materials, such as ceiling tile and carpeting, may have to be bagged and thrown away. Mold can grow on or fill in the empty spaces and crevices of porous materials, so the mold may be impossible to remove completely. Do not paint or caulk over moldy surfaces.
Count on our mold remediation techs to put a contamination barrier around the affected areas to prevent the mold from spreading. We'll then use air scrubbers to change the air circulation in the affected areas. After double-bagging and throwing away all contaminated items and drywall, we'll scrub the area with a HEPA vacuum. If needed, we fog the area to kill mold growth.
Sewage Backup
Occasionally, you can repair sewage backup damage yourself, depending on the severity of the leak; however, professional sewage cleaning and restoration is needed to properly disinfect and sanitize affected areas and to prevent microbial development. If left untreated, sewer water damage can cause serious health problems, especially in children and elderly people, as well as in those who suffer from chronic respiratory problems or weakened immune systems.
Additionally, exposure to wastewater from a sewage backup can result in a number of diseases, including hepatitis A, tetanus, and giardia. Prevent problems and let our sewage cleaning pros work for you.
